Interspecific play

Date

Summer-Autumn 2024

Location

UCL

Animals of different species, whether domestic or wild, regularly interact, be it through cohabitation, predation, mutualism, or play.
These relationships, particularly the playful ones, compel animals — differing in phylogeny, size, strength, and communication codes — to invent new ways of interacting.
A significant part of our research focuses on studying play between species as a unique space for invention and creativity.
